Fubara Tackles Wike over Comment on Thanksgiving Rallies

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has lashed out at his predecessor in office and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, for accusing him of renting crowds for thanksgiving.

Wike made the remark while expressing regrets for helping Fubara to become the governor of the state.

Addressing a crowd of supporters, the FCT minister stated that Fubara displayed a high level of pretext which deceived him to work towards making him his successor.

Speaking when he played host to members of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, NULGE, who were on a solidarity rally at the Government House, Port Harcourt, the Rivers State governor said the large number of people proves the nature of the organic support his administration has continued to enjoy from people of the state.

“Some days ago, somebody said we are busy renting crowds for thanksgiving.

“But what I have seen here today is not different from what is happening at those thanksgiving rallies. People are just appreciating God and good governance,” Fubara states.
