Presented by the Renewable Energy Technology Training Institute (RETTI) and West Africa Vocational Education (WAVE), this program aims to empower youths, women, and individuals from less privileged backgrounds with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the renewable energy sector. By equipping participants with expertise in solar power technology and employability skills, the initiative seeks to bridge the gap in skilled workers for the energy transition while fostering entrepreneurship and expanding access to clean energy across Nigeria.
Throughout the course, participants will delve into various aspects of the renewable energy technology value chain, including solar solution design, installation engineering, marketing, distribution, consultancy, and panel production.
Eligibility criteria for the program include:
– Age between 25 and 40 years
– Residency in Etiosa LGA (Lekki-Ajah Axis)
– Demonstration of a serious commitment to learning and attending the two-week, in-person training sessions
Selected candidates will benefit from a scholarship that covers tuition fees, training materials, safety gear, practical equipment, refreshments, and certification. However, participants are required to attend the training venue daily throughout the program.
