Are you a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player with a passion for Africa’s economic transformation? ACET is seeking an Advocacy Lead to strengthen its impact and influence on critical economic issues across the continent.
Job Summary:
As the Advocacy Lead, you will collaborate with internal and external partners to develop a robust advocacy framework within ACET. Our advocacy approach focuses on providing evidence-based insights to influence decision-making, rather than activism. Key focus areas for advocacy include global financial architecture reform, gender equity, climate finance, youth employment, and more.
Roles and Responsibilities:
– Identify and nurture partnerships with influential institutions and individuals to advance regional and global agendas.
– Organize strategic events to drive discussions and action on economic transformation.
– Collaborate with ACET leadership to integrate advocacy into program initiatives and cultivate senior-level networks.
– Develop and execute a forward-thinking advocacy strategy.
– Stay updated on relevant issues and maintain a strong network within African governments, organizations, and development sectors.
– Support resource mobilization efforts through tailored pitches and donor engagement.
– Collaborate with the communications team to craft compelling messages for advocacy initiatives.
Qualifications:
– Master’s degree in Public Policy, Economics, International Affairs, or related fields.
– Proven track record in advocacy within international development.
– Ideally, established networks within African economic and finance sectors.
– Excellent writing skills, creativity, and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
– Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
– Ethical and professional conduct.
