The Nigerian Meteorological Agency, NiMet, has forecast thunderstorms and sunshine from Sunday to Tuesday across the country.
A weather outlook released by the agency in Abuja forecast sunny skies on Sunday, with few patches of cloud over most parts of the northern region during the morning hours.
NiMet further disclosed that isolated thunderstorms are expected over parts of Kaduna and Taraba, with a hazy condition over parts of Yobe and Borno States later in the day.
The agency said cloudy skies with intervals of sunshine are anticipated over the North Central region during the morning hours.
In the afternoon/evening periods, the agency said isolated thunderstorms are envisaged over parts of the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Nasarawa,
Benue, Kwara and Kogi states.
NiMet said that cloudy skies with spells of sunshine are expected over the inland states with chances of isolated thunderstorms over parts of Imo and Abia.
The meteorological agency forecasts a mix of cloudy skies and sunshine across the North Central region in the morning. In the afternoon and evening, isolated thunderstorms are expected in areas including the Federal Capital Territory, Plateau, Nasarawa, Benue, Kwara, and Kogi states.
For the inland states, cloudy skies with periods of sunshine are anticipated, with the possibility of isolated thunderstorms in parts of Imo and Abia. Along the coast, predominantly cloudy conditions are expected, with chances of thunderstorms in Cross River, Akwa Ibom, and Rivers States during the morning.
Isolated thunderstorms are forecasted later in the day for Oyo, Edo, Abia, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, Ogun, and Delta States, while widespread thunderstorms are likely along most parts of the coast.
In the northern region, sunny intervals with some cloud patches are expected on Monday morning, with isolated thunderstorms predicted for parts of Kaduna and Taraba States later in the day.

The agency added that the North Central, should be cloudy with sunshine intervals during the morning hours.
