Civic Leadership Programme at Nigeria Youth SDGs Network

Nigeria Youth SDGs Network is a youth-led and youth-serving civil society organisation focused on youth leadership for sustainable development. Registered as the Network of Youth for Sustainable Initiative, it focuses on education, leadership development, employment and livelihoods and civic participation to support young people.

Overview
The Civic Leadership Programme seeks to empower the next wave of young and representative decision-makers towards meaningful youth participation in local democracy, social justice, and well-being. The programme will provide young people with leadership development and opportunities to engage with elected public officials and other members of the society to identify problems and co-create solutions that will bring about positive change.

Purpose

The Civic Leadership Programme (CLiP)  aims to equip five (5) dynamic young individuals in Enugu East Senatorial District with the necessary skills to actively engage in community initiatives and civic responsibilities.

The five Champions will spearhead efforts to enhance youth involvement in local governance, inspiring their peers and community members alike. Through innovative strategies and constructive dialogue with elected representatives, they will strive to foster a culture of active citizenship and collaborative decision-making within the district.
