Call for Applications: GetBundi TechSis 2024 |Free Digital Skill Training For 1000 Nigerian Women
TechSis, an initiative and registered trademark of GetBundi Education Foundation is commitment to train 10,000 African women by 2024 in various digital skill sets for free.
The foundation focuses mainly on those who are potentially left behind, especially girls/ women, internally displaced students, refugees, and the disabled.
500 African women was trained in Coding during our maiden edition TechSis 2023. It was a resounding success, receiving overwhelming positive feedback from the beneficiaries, speakers, and partners.
We documented the key takeaways from the TechSis 2023, and we are taking next steps in working with relevant stakeholders to implement the recommendation with a view to achieve our mission of upskilling many African women with various digital skills set to fuel inclusivity, innovation, and prosperity for Africa.
In 2024, TechSis is dedicated to empowering Nigerian women in the realms of Web Development and Data Analytics. Our goal is to educate 1000 women, with support from the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, which will sponsor 300 women from each of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
These 1000 women will have the opportunity to access free courses on the GetBundi Education Technology platform. Our platform offers over 2000 hours of courses, meticulously crafted by industry experts and skilled facilitators, to equip participants with the necessary skills for employment.
TechSis 2024 spans six months, running from July to December, and is divided into four segments. Globally, the tech industry is predominantly male-dominated, and Africa mirrors this trend. Studies show that only 30 percent of African women are represented in this sector, highlighting a significant gender gap.
This gender disparity, known as female digital exclusion, hampers the achievement of an inclusive digital future. With the TechSis initiative, we aim to address this gap, particularly across Africa.
Participants must be at least 18 years old, either undergraduates or graduates seeking to enhance their skills or transition into the tech industry. They are required to have access to a functional laptop or PC, and no prior knowledge of digital skills is necessary.
