The Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission, EBSIEC, has announced date for the conduct of local government elections in the state.
The Chairman of the commission, Barrister Josy Eze, disclosed this on Thursday in Abakaliki during a meeting with chairmen and secretaries of different political parties and heads of security agencies at the commission’s headquarters in Abakiliki.
According to Eze, the elections for the 13 local government areas and 171 political wards in the state would hold on July 20, 2024.
He urged political parties to be actively involved in the exercise by coming to the commission to pick their nomination forms.
