Believers in Christ have been urged to make self-examination of their lives and make amendment where necessary, so that they could manifest the true life of Christ for the world to see.
Senior pastor, Divine Intervention Christian Assembly, pastor Timothy Oamen, gave the advice while speaking with TREND REPORTERS on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration.
While observing that Christians enjoy God’s presence as a result of the sacrifices made by Jesus Christ, pastor Oamen called on believers to emulate Christ in sacrifice, love, purity and holiness.
According to the cleric, Jesus so love the whole world that, despite the people he came to redeem were the one that crucified Him, He never refuse them, He went to the cross of Calvary to die for them and the whole world.
The man of God observed that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is so significant to Christians because it is what gave them the new life of Christ.
“So, Easter is about remembering that Jesus died to give us new life, eternal life, the life of God. The death of Jesus makes it possible for God to come to man again. His death and resurrection makes it possible that the sins of everyone that believes in Him is forgiven.
“The Bible said by the death of Jesus Christ, the whole world is reconciled to God. Through the first Adam, the whole world came into being, through the last Adam, Jesus Christ, the new life is given to human being,” he stated.
The Senior Pastor of Divine Intervention Christian Assembly called on those in positions of authority to submit to God through Christ.
While noting that the problem of the world is more than human apprehension, he maintained that if they submit themselves to God, God will help them to build the economy of the nation.
He stated “If they submit to God, God will help them to build the economy to standard. The spirit of self that makes people to steal what they are to use to create wealth for the citizens will disappear from them. They will love people, make sacrifice for people, they will love to see people rejoice and happy, than people sharing tears.”
