Microblogging site, Twitter has slammed restrictions on users’ number of post reads per day.
The move is meant to curb data scraping and system manipulation.
The platform’s Executive Chairman, Elon Musk, who announced this via his Twitter handle on Saturday, revealed that the restrictions are a temporary measure.
The new rule permits verified accounts to read 6,000 posts per day, unverified accounts 600 posts per day, and new unverified accounts 300 posts per day.
Meanwhile, many have condemned the restrictions, noting that it was a plot to make more users subscribe to the Twitter blue badge.
