DSS Operatives Brutalize Journalist in Ibadan

Some personnel of the Department of State Service, DSS, in Ibadan have reportedly harassed and brutalised an Oyo State based journalist, Mr. Tony Babatunde Daniel.

It was gathered that the incident occurred at NNPC petroleum station which is few meters away to the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Secretariat in the Iyaganku area of Ibadan.

The journalist claimed that he was on queue to purchase petroleum when the incident occurred.

He was later rushed to a nearby hospital by his colleagues at the NUJ Secretariat.

While narrating his ordeal, the victim described the incident as traumatic, noting that his car was also destroyed by the armed security operatives.

Meanwhile, efforts to get comment from the DSS were not successful as at the time of filing this report.
