Court Sentences Bobrisky to Prison

The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has sentenced controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, to six months imprisonment.

Delivering judgment today (Friday), Justice Awogboro stressed that the act of mutilating the Naira notes has become a menace, which has continued to damage the image of the country.

He thereafter sentenced Bobrisky to six months imprisonment, without an option of fine.

The prison term will start counting from the date of his remand.

The social media celebrity has been in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, since his arrest last week.
