Cleric cautions Christians against borrowing

Believers in Christ have been urged to guide against borrowing.

General Overseer, Global Fire Revival International Outreach, Pastor Chinedu Goddy gave the admonition during a Sunday service at the church auditorium located along Boundary Road, opposite NNPC Depot in Benin City, Edo State.

The cleric quoted Deuteronomy 28:12 to drive home his point that it was not the will of God for His children to borrow and emphasized that every borrower is subject to the lender; as the former cannot speak boldly to the later.

Speaking on the subject “Breaking Financial Hardship”, pastor Chinedu implored Christians to be discipline in their spending and faithful in the payment of tithes and offerings.

The cleric noted that every tithe eater would always be in a tight corner and called on anyone faced with financial difficulties to retrace his or her step back to biblical teachings on finance.
