Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the bill to establish the Federal University of Sports, Afuze, Edo State.
This is contained in a statement issued on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 by the Chief Press Secretary, Office of the Leader, House of Representatives, Samson Akhanieme.
The statement described the development as a testament to the National Assembly’s commitment to promoting education and sports development in Nigeria.
While commending the President for his prompt action on the bill, the statement also acknowledged the efforts of the lawmaker representing Owan Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Professor Julius thonvbere, for his tireless advocacy and commitment to the passage of the bill.
