The Edo State Police Command has called on Government Officials, Non-Governmental Organizations, Community and religious bodies to collaborate with the command for comprehensive and organised way of going about the distribution of palliatives.
Police Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Moses Yamu made the call in an interview with journalists in Benin City.
He explained that the command has designed a workable way of distribution of palliatives to avoid stampede.
The police spokesperson warned that the command under the leadership of CP Umoru Ozigi will hold responsible anyone who refuses to collaborate with security agencies for any avoidable incident.
TREND REPORTERS recall that there are reported case of stampedes in the Federal Capital Territory, Oyo and Anambra States, where many people lost their lives.
