A senatorial aspirant of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, in the forthcoming Edo Central senatorial bye election, Idumonza Isidahomhen has extended supports to some women in Esan community on the occasion of this year’s observance of the International Women’s Day.
Coming under “Idumonza Isidahomhen Empowerment Programme, IIEP,” the aspirant expressed the believe that women who are integral parts of community and national developments should be supported.
Speaking on the occasion, the Co-ordinator of the IIEP, comrade Timothy Aremu observed that the SDP Senatorial aspirant is a female gender friendly democrat who has women as employees in his business.
Aremu emphasized that Idumonza’s belief centres around transforming Esan community and indeed, the world which requires conscious efforts in inspiring women to be integral part of the process.
“Idumonza Isidahomhen understands women’s valuable contributions to growth pattern in any setting. He also abhors domestic abuse in its entirety.
“As an employer of women in his business enclaves, the valuable contributions of women in achieving results resonate very soundly in Idumonza’s ideological philosophy.
“He takes women’s welfare and well being very seriously.
“That is why Idumonza is using this Women’s Day celebration to reach out to women with supports for their enterprise engagements.
“We therefore congratulate women worldwide on this year’s celebrations.
“We call on our women to queue behind Idumonza Isidahomhen for the Edo Central bye election contest for victory.
“Through God’s grace, when he gets to Abuja as a Senator, you can be rest assured that his inclination towards women’s welfare will manifest greatly for improved household economy across Esanland,” Comrade Aremu stated.
Speaking on behalf of beneficiaries, Mrs. Jane Aliu who hawks consumables in Esan Central Local Government Area, acknowledged the timing of the supports.
“I no get money to go market again because me and my children dey use the money chop. I no get husband again.
“God go bless Isidahomhen. All of us go vote for SDP,” she appreciated and promised.
Others chorused a loud Amen to the prayers, promising to vote SDP.
It would be recalled that IIEP recently extended similar supports to students from poor family background who could not enroll for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME.
The empowerment is part of Idumonza’s all-inclusive growth plans for Esan community.
