Operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS, and those of the Nigeria Police, have took over the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The operatives took over the assembly at Alausa, Ikeja , on Monday, to ensure adequate security.
TREND REPORTERS learnt the Speaker of the house, Mojisola Meranda, arrived at the complex around 12pm with her convoy.
Following her arrival, members of the House settled to plenary and expressed confidence in her leadership.
Meranda took over the speakership of the assembly following the removal of Mudashiru Obasa.
The impeached speaker was removed as speaker by 32 of the 40 members of the house on January 13, 2025 while he was in the United States.
