The Adamawa State Police Command has arrested a 22-year-old man, Habubakar Umar, for allegedly defiling four boys.
The boys’ ages range between eight and nine years old.
The spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed this in a statement he released on Thursday.
According to the command, the suspect was arrested when the father of two of the victims complained that he had been hired to drive his kids to school but that he had taken advantage of the situation and had on several occasions lured them into having his way with them.
The police spokesman said the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, has condemned the incident and directed that the case be diligently investigated and charged to court without delay.
Meanwhile, the suspect has confessed to committing the crime and blamed it on the devil.
