Plateau Killings – CAN Demands Justice for Victims

The Northern Christian Association of Nigeria, Northern CAN, has condemned the recent killings of 52 people in the Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The chairman of the association, Rev. Joseph Hayab, described the killings as “barbaric” and “tragic.”

While expressing concern over the recurring violence in Northern Nigeria, the cleric called for an end to the culture of bloodshed.

Hayab called on security agencies to intensify their efforts to apprehend the perpetrators of the dastardly acts and ensure justice is served.

He appealed for peace and tolerance from religious, traditional, and community leaders, stressing that such violence should not become a new normal.

The Northern CAN also commended the Plateau State Government for its response and arrests and encouraged citizens to cooperate with authorities by reporting suspicious activities.
