Pi Network has announced a significant progress in its KYC (Know Your Customer) process and Mainnet migration.
An official post on X, disclosed that the project has reached over 18 million KYC’d users and over 8 million Mainnet migrated Pioneers, thereby setting the stage for a potential Open Network launch in Q1 2025.
In the past, the Pi Network’s open mainnet launch was expected by the end of December 2024.
Meanwhile, the team has now pushed the target to Q1 2025, claiming the decision would minimize the gap between KYC-approved users and those migrated to the mainnet.
While the delay may disappoint some users, the development would also ensure a stable and inclusive ecosystem before the open network launch.
The founders of the Pi Network, Nicolas Kokkalis and Chengdiao Fan expressed the believe that more Pi on Mainnet would translate to more engagement and stability in the ecosystem.
