Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has assured wives and children of fallen Heroes immediate enrollment into free health insurance coverage under the Kogi state Health Insurance Scheme.
The governor gave the assurance during the Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration after laying wreaths at the World War I and II Cenotaph in Lokoja on Wednesday.
“I pledge my continued support to the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and stand firmly behind the wives and children of our fallen heroes by providing free healthcare through the Kogi State Health Insurance Scheme,” he stated.
While pledging his administration’s unwavering support to the families of fallen heroes, Ododo commended them for their bravery in defending the nation’s territorial integrity.
He highlighted the significance of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day, describing it as a time to honour and reflect on the contributions of the armed forces to nation -building.
Ododo restated his administration’s commitment to supporting the families of fallen heroes and providing for veterans who served Nigeria with distinction.
He spoke of ongoing support for injured officers and men of the armed forces in Kogi State and called for unity in building a nation worthy of their sacrifices.
