Former Nigerian President and friend of late former President of the United States of America, Jimmy Carter, Olusegun Obasanjo will today (Sunday) host a memorial service for the late President in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Special Assistant on Media to Obasanjo, Kehinde Akinyemi made this known in a statement on Saturday.
He disclosed that the former Nigerian president would host the memorial service to honour his friend, who was the 39th US President.
According to Akinyemi, the service is scheduled to hold at the Chapel of Christ, The Glorious King of the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library in Abeokuta, Ogun State by 9.00 o’clock in the morning.
The President of the Baptist Convention, Rev Israel Akanji will present a sermon on the occasion, while Obasanjo will deliver a tribute on “Jimmy Carter: The Departure of a Titan”.

The 39th US President was the longest-living president of that country and the first to reach 100 years of age.
