Embattled Kano Pillars technical adviser, Usman Abdallah has rejected the club’s request for his return to work after one-week of his three-week suspension.
The technical adviser was handed a three-week suspension by the management of the football club due to the team’s poor form and his conduct towards the fans.
In the interim, Kano Pillars legend and chief coach, Ahmed Garba Yaro-Yaro, was designated to take charge of the technical team.
Speaking with CompleteSports, the Kano Pillars Technical Adviser stated: “I was asked to return to my duty post just a week after the suspension order, but I said no— let’s wait until the three weeks are completed.
“I said no because it’s important I stay out until the suspension elapses. I believe that within that period, the dust raised by the incident would have settled”.
Abdallah claimed that the football team also suspended some former coaches of the club – coaches like Salisu Yusuf, Abdu Maikaba, and Musa Ibrahim.
While stating that he has coached clubs like Enyimba and Katsina United, and never experienced such behaviour, the technical adviser expressed the believe that it is best for him to stay out until the management resolves the issues regarding suspension of coaches.
