The Nigeria Medical Association, NMA, has expressed deep sadness and sorrow over the death of two medical doctors from Sokoto Specialist Hospital, in an auto crash which occurred on the Bodinga-Yabo road.
The tragic incident also claimed the lives of four other persons.
The deceased medical personnel, Dr. Abubakar Liman Shehu and Dr. Anas Chika were be on their way to Kebbi State on Sunday when their vehicle collided with an oncoming truck.
Sokoto state chairman of NMA, Dr. Farouk Kabiru who spoke on behalf of the medical community, described the doctors as young and dedicated professionals whose contributions to the health sector would be greatly missed.
In the same vein, the Chief Medical Director of Sokoto Specialist Hospital, Dr. Attahiru Isa, expressed his sorrow, highlighting the critical roles both doctors played in the hospital.
He described them as humble and dedicated workers and prayed God to console their families.
