Officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF, Niger State Command have been commended for the supervision of the ongoing third-party motor insurance enforcement in the state.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman gave the commendation in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun.
While noting that the enforcement is in line with the directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Commissioner of Police explained that the exercise which is in its 4th day has continued without any complaint of harassment or extortion.
The CP urged officers to continue to supervise the enforcement and ensure courtesy, and enlightenment during the assignment.
Danmamman also advised vehicle owners to register and obtain their vehicle third-party insurance, as well as cooperate with the Police during the enforcement and beyond in the interest of safety of lives and property.
