A middle-aged man has killed himself in the Enyekorin area of Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The man, whose identity is yet to be known as at press time, committed the act in the early morning of Friday
According to report, the man took his life by hanging himself under the tree along the Ilorin-Eyenkorin highway.
An eyewitness, Alhaji Waheed, revealed that a paper was found under the tree, with phone numbers belonging to his wife and his brother in Gombe State written on it.
Officers from the Budo Nuhu Division of the Kwara State Police Command visited the scene and took the remains of the man to the mortuary of the General Hospital, Ilorin.
Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Kwara State Police Command, DSP Ejire Adeyemi Toun, could not be reached for comment as at the time of filling this report.
