Major parts of Nigeria have been thrown into darkness as the national grid experienced a collapse on Saturday.
Data obtained from the Nigerian System Operator’s portal (niggrid.org), indicated that the occurrence which marked the first time in the year, occurred at 1:56 pm.
According to report, the development follows a pattern of instability, with the grid suffering about 12 consecutive collapses last year.
Meanwhile, the cause of the latest failure is yet to be made known by government authority, as at the time of filing this report.
