Jigawa: NDLEA Intercepts 1,300kg of Illicit Drugs

The National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, in Jigawa State, had intercepted over 1,300 kilograms of illicit drugs from April 2025 to date.

The state commandant of the agency, Musa Maina, made this known during a rally as part of activities to commemorate International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking.

While noting that the war against drug abuse is a collective responsibility, Maina explained that with the support of other security agencies, the command succeeded in seizing of 1,300 kilograms of illicit drugs from April 2025 to date.

The Jigawa State NDLEA commandant advised members of the public to support the agency’s effort by reporting factual information about drug dealers and their hideouts.
