Iran has denied claims that it launched ballistic missiles at Israel following the start of a US-brokered ceasefire.
The Israeli military had stated that two projectiles were fired toward northern Israel early Tuesday morning.
Iran’s state-affiliated ISNA news agency disclosed that reports of a post-ceasefire missile launch by Tehran are false, noting that the government has denied any involvement in attacks following the truce agreement.
On the other hand, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) claimed that two missiles were launched from Iran shortly after the ceasefire went into effect.
According to the IDF, the projectiles triggered air raid sirens across parts of northern Israel, and residents in several areas reported witnessing aerial interceptions.
It further said both missiles were successfully intercepted and that no casualties or damage were reported.
Though Israeli officials are yet to respond directly to Iran’s denial, it has, however, vowed to respond forcefully to any violation of the peace deal.
