Gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have abducted an Anglican cleric, his wife and his two children in Ondo State.
According to report, Rev. Canon Olowolagba, his wife and child were kidnapped along Ise Akoko-Iboropa road in the Akoko North-East Local Government Area of the state.
With the development, residents Ikaram-Akoko in Akoko North-West Local Council, the hometown of the cleric had engaged in fervent prayers for the release of the victims.
Speaking on the incident in Akure, the state capital, the Anglican Bishop of Akoko Diocese, Rt. Rev. Babajide Bada, stated that the Olowolagba family was abducted on Sunday between 4:00 pm and 5:30 pm.
The Bishop said the kidnappers are demanding for a N75 million ransom before they could free the victims.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omilani, said she was yet to be briefed on the incident.
