In a laudable initiative aimed at promoting academic excellence and empowering future leaders in Esanland, Idumonza Isidahomhen, the SDP Senate aspirant in the upcoming Edo Central Senate bye election, has extended supports to individuals who are interested in tertiary institutions but are not able to pay for JAMB forms in the ongoing Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME enrollment.
Deploying different parameters like age, local government of origin, WAEC-GCE-NECO qualifications etc to screen applicants, the first batch, drawn from the five council areas in Esan, received their supports Saturday, February 22, 2025.
The IIEP’s supports demonstrate the spirit of SDP where youths can explore opportunities to enhance career and academic goals.
In a statement signed by Timothy Aremu, the empowerment co ordinator, Idumonza Isidahomhen explained that the education supports to youths is just the beginning of series of supports that will be extended to different people and communities in the months ahead.
“It is a continuous exercise,” Idumonza Isidahomhen noted.
He emphasized that his commitments to education in Esanland remains unwaved.
“I am a product of Ambrose Alli free education system. So, it is natural that people like us support the education of youths who cannot afford it in Esan community.
“Naturally, I love helping people and I will continue to do that within my capacity.
“I have different plans for different sectors in Esan if given the required votes to represent my people in the Senate.
” I know what the problems in Esan land are. I also know the solutions.
“Therefore, Esan, under SDP Senate, will enjoy profound improvement in its socio-economic and cultural fronts,” Idumonza Isidahomhen promised.
