…. Orders Immediate Distribution to Schools
Edo state Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo has accused his predecessor in office, Mr. Godwin Obaseki of Withholding Note Books Meant for secondary and primary pupils in the state.
The exercise books were said to have been provided by President Bola Tinubu in May this year for onward distribution to schools across the state.
He made this known during a visit to New Era College, at upper mission extension axis of Benin City.
The Governor who was accompanied by the Edo State chairman of the state universal board, Mr. Paddy Iyamu described the non distribution of the exercise books by the immediate past Governor, Mr Obaseki as politics of bitterness taken too far.
Okpebholo ordered the immediate distribution of the Note books to secondary and primary school pupils across the eighteen local Government of Edo state.
He thanked President Tinubu for providing the books and decried the “Edobest” policy of the immediate past administration.
According governor Okpebholo, the education policy failed woefully in addressing the infrastructural challenges bedeviling primary and secondary schools in the state.
