Commend Business Magnate for Party’s Victory in Governorship Election
The leadership of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Owan-West Local Government Area of Edo State has paid a thank you visit to one of their own, the Chief Executive Officer of Tarex Lounge, chief Lucky Ohimai for his immense contributions to the success of the party, in the just concluded Edo State governorship election, which gave victory to the party’s candidate, senator Monday Okpebolo.
Former Edo State Deputy governor, Rev. Peter Obadan, who led the delegation on the visit in Sabongida-Ora, observed that if chief Ohimai, popularly known as Tarex had not come to their rescue, the party would have lost the election in the local government area.
While noting that the opposition party was making efforts to suppress APC members in the local government area, in order to manipulate the outcome of the poll, the former Edo deputy governor maintained that it took the intervention of chief Ohimai for the party to be able to fight back and prevailed.
He expressed appreciation to God for having the CEO of Tarex Lounge in their midst and prayed that God would continue to uphold him and enlarge his coast.
Rev. Obadan was equally thankful that as an old politician, he has someone like Ohimai, who would take over from him and even do better.
“If any elder does not want the growth, the success of the younger ones and does not want to hand over to the younger generation, then he is a fool.
“Success without a successor is a failure. If you have no successor, you have failed in life,” he further stated.
The former Edo State deputy governor described chief Ohimai as a pride to his people, noting that he is always mindful of them and come to their aid.
“Many people have, but they forget their home, but you said you would not. And we thank God for your life, ” he stated.
Also speaking, the chairman of APC in Owan-West, Mr. Frank David expressed joy that the business magnate did not only win his unit, but his ward, local government and the state at large.
In his response, chief Lucky Ohimai attributed his success to the help of God.
He expressed the believe that APC deserve the victory, stressing that the party had labour and campaign day and night before the election.
According to the businessman, there was nothing to show for the nearly 8 years administration of the PDP in Edo State.
The CEO Tarex Lounge added that the PDP tried their best to win the election, but the APC did better than them, thereby deserving the victory.
