The Edo State government has cancelled the conduct of this month’s sanitation exercise, initially scheduled for this Saturday, the twenty-eighth of June, being the last Saturday of the month.
A statement by the secretary to the state government explained that the development was occasioned by the nationwide polio immunization campaign exercise, which coincides with the sanitation exercise.
According to the statement, the cancellation is to allow health workers and other citizens involved in the exercise have unrestricted movement.
Despite the cancellation, the Edo State Government urged residents to keep their surroundings clean.
