Edo: Gov. Okpebholo Inaugurates Boundary Committee
….. Pledges Commitment to Resolving Boundary Disputes
Edo State governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has inaugurated a 14-man Boundary Committee with a charge to carry out their duties diligently and bring peace to warring communities across the state.
The governor also reminded members of the committee of the different borders Edo has with neighbouring states, where some dispute claims have caused tension in those communities.
On his part, chairman of the Edo State Boundary Committee and Deputy Governor of the state, Mr. Denis Idahosa pledged members commitment to resolving boundary disputes among communities across the state, as well as with neighbouring states, to promote harmonious coexistence.

The deputy governor also pledged to ensure equity, justice, and fairness in the discharge of their assignment, knowing fully the complexity of boundary issues in communities.
The deputy governor thanked his boss for finding them worthy to serve in the committee and promised to uphold justice across Edo communities.
Members of the 14-man Boundary Committee, headed by the deputy Governor, are drawn from security agencies, surveyors, and other professionals, as well as politicians.
