The Edo State chairman of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Elder Felix Obayagbon has felicitated Christians as they commemorate the resurrection of the Lord and Saviour of Mankind, the Lord Jesus Christ.
In his Christmas message to believers, Elder Obayagbon encouraged believers in Christ to imbibe the spirit of love and selfless service exhibited by Jesus Christ.
While urging christians to continue to pray for the country to overcome the present socio-economic challenges, the Edo SDP chairman expressed appreciation to Christians for their fervent prayers for the state and the country during the 40-day fasting, which culminated in the Easter celebrations.
He emphasized the need for the Christian faithful to sustain their prayers and piety beyond this season.
Elder Obayagbon called for tolerance and togetherness among various creeds and tribes, in order to achieve and guaranteed sustainable peace in the country.
