Delta State has announced August 3, 2025, as the kick-off date for the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori U-17 Unity Cup.
A sports analyst and enthusiast, Amurun Idama, disclosed this in a statement at the weekend.
According to him, the grassroots sports tournament will adopt a round-robin format, with all eight local government areas in the state participating.
He pointed out that the competition will serve as an incubation ground for discovering some of Nigeria’s top football talents.
Idama added that the champions of the tournament will receive N5 million, while consolation prizes will range between N1 million and N3 million.
