The Nigeria Customs Service collected N6.1 trillion in revenue in 2024, a 90.4 percent increase from N3.2 trillion recorded in 2023.
The Comptroller General of the service, Bashir Adeniyi disclosed this in a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to the Comptroller General, the service surpassed its 2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion by 22 percent.
He further stated that service recorded the highest revenue collection in October 2024, when it collected the sum of N603 billion.
“Unprecedented performance in 2024, the service recorded N6.105.315 trillion. This is above the N5.07 trillion 2024 revenue target by 22 percent, “Adeniyi added.
