The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the 2023 general election, Atiku Abubakar, has announced the formation of a coalition of opposition political parties to unseat President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
Speaking at a press conference at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja, the former Vice President of Nigeria, stated, “Yes, this is the birth of the coalition of opposition ahead of 2027.”
The declaration by Atiku comes amid the chaos in Rivers State.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had on Tuesday declared a state of emergency in the state.
The development had sparked widespread criticisms and condemnations among Nigerians.
