Obinna Akuchie has joined Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Rivers United to solidify their goalkeeping department for the 2025-26 season.
Rivers United are currently strengthening their team in preparation for the NPFL and CAF Champions League next season.
Recall that John Noble, a former Enyimba goalie, has also been signed by Finidi George’s team.
According to report, Akuchie joined the Pride of Rivers from newly promoted NPFL side, Kun Khalifat FC.
Kun Khalifat’s elevation to the NPFL was largely due to the goalie.
In the past, Akuchie was a member of the now-defunct Vandrezzer FC in Uyo.
