The recently impeached speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa has been reinstated as speaker of the assembly.
The reinstatement was sequel to the resignation of Mojisola Meranda as speaker of the house.
A meeting was earlier held between Obasa, Meranda and other lawmakers outside the Assembly chambers.
Meranda resigned on Monday as Speaker after spending 49 days in office.
The assembly members had in January this year removed Obasa as Speaker following allegations of misappropriation, and Meranda was sworn in.
