The holy month of Ramadan will begin on Saturday, 1st of March, 2025.
The development followed the sighting of the Ramadan crescent in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, had on Thursday called on Muslims faithful to look for the crescent of Ramadan 1446 AH.
While the Sultan, who is the President-General of the Nigeria Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, is yet to give an update, countries including Qatar, Oman have officially announced that Ramadan would be observed on Saturday, 1st of March.
