Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested a total of 47 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations in Ekpoma, Edo State.
A statement made available on EFCC X page on Monday said the suspects were arrested on Saturday based on credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.
The Commission disclosed that the suspects have made useful statements and would be charged to court upon the completion of investigations.
Items recovered from the suspected internet fraudsters include 14 exotic cars, laptops and phones.
