Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani has stated that his administration’s commitment to excellence and innovation in healthcare delivery has led to recognitions by national and international organisations.
The Governor who made the remark at the commissioning of a new pharma-grade warehouse at Makera on Wednesday, said the facility will lead to enhanced healthcare delivery, which will ultimately improve the health and well-being of citizens of the state.
‘’Our efforts have been recognized with 10 awards, both national and international, including the prestigious Excellence Award by the International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA),’’ he stated.
Governor Sani stressed that in Kaduna State, good healthcare is not a privilege but a fundamental human right, adding that the PHC Leadership Challenge in Abuja had earlier ranked the state as the best in Primary Health Care in the North West zone.
He further stated that the new pharma grade warehouse will lead to enhanced healthcare delivery, which will ultimately improve the health and well-being of the citizens of Kaduna State.
Uba Sani disclosed that Kaduna State is one of the first states to pay the 15% counterpart funding for the warehouse upgrade and assured of the state government’s commitment to renovate and upgrade identified warehouses in Zones 1 and 3 to Pharma Grade standard.
Governor Sani expressed the believe that upgrading the zonal warehouses will further improve accessibility of quality drugs to the people of Kaduna state.
He expressed appreciation to development partners like the Global Fund and UNICEF, as well as Fidson Healthcare and Emzor Group for their supports.
The Kaduna state governor further disclosed that while Fidson Healthcare played a key role in organizing the storage system in the warehouse, Emzor Group provided insurance coverage for the facility.
He added that the contributions of the development partners have enabled the Kaduna State Health Supplies Management Agency to make remarkable progress.
