Former Manchester United defender, Gabriel Heinze, is set to join Mikel Arteta’s coaching staff at Arsenal.
According to report, the 47-year-old will replace Carlos Cuesta at the Emirates.
Cuesta has left the Gunners to become Parma’s new head coach.
Arteta knows Heinze from their time together at Paris Saint-Germain during the 2001-02 campaign.
Heinze has now moved on to coach at Newell’s Old Boys, Atlanta United, and Godoy Cruz.
His most recent position as head coach was at Newell’s. After just a year, he quit his boyhood club in November 2023.
Heinze will become a member of Arteta’s coaching staff, which currently consists of assistant Albert Stuivenberg, set-piece coach Nico Jover, and goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana
