The Ibadan Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested thirty-four persons suspected to be involved in internet-related fraud.
Operatives of the commission made the arrests in the early hours of Monday, June 23, 2025, during coordinated raids on locations in the Iworoko and Ijado areas of Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
The operation followed actionable intelligence linking the suspects to various online fraud schemes.
The EFCC disclosed that eleven luxury vehicles, several laptops, numerous mobile phones, and various documents believed to be connected to fraudulent activities were seized during the operation.
The commission added that all suspects are currently in custody and will face prosecution upon the conclusion of investigations.
