Former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has revealed the agreement between him, ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar, and ex-Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, regarding their planned coalition.
El-Rufai who spoke on Arise Television’s Prime Time show on Monday, said they all agreed to leave their political parties and focus on a new platform if they have a consensus on a party.
He, however, pointed out that they are yet to agree on a platform.
“When I joined the SDP, I made it very clear, just like every other person.
“Just like Atiku is in the PDP and Peter Obi has not officially left the Labour Party, but we all agreed that if we have a consensus on a platform, we are going to give up our legacy parties and focus on the platform,” he stated.
The former Kaduna governor noted that they are not there yet, stressing that the leadership will receive a report on the engagement with the SDP and other parties, and a decision will be taken.
He described the Bola Tinubu led administration as the worst in Nigerian history, adding that there is a 91% disapproval of it across the country and that Nigerians are looking for credible options.
