Former Edo State chairman of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Elder Godfrey Ehizokhale Ehimhen, has celebrated his sixtieth birthday anniversary in grand style.
It was a moment of joy for Ehimhen, as family members, friends, political allies, business associates, and well-wishers joined him to felicitate with him on his attainment of the new age.
The ceremony, which took place on Sunday, 15th June, 2025, at his residence in Eyaean Community of the Benin metropolis, saw the James Watts Igba Group entertaining guests with musical performances.
Speaking on the occasion, which lasted for several hours, the birthday celebrant, Elder Godfrey Ehizokhale Ehimhen, appreciated God Almighty for keeping him alive and granting him the grace to mark the diamond jubilee in peace of mind and good health, despite all the difficult times and challenges he has passed through in life.
Elder Ehimhen, who is the national secretary of the Movement for Nigeria Transformation (MNT), a socio-political organisation, described his 60th birthday as one of the most joyous moments of his life.
While thanking God for preserving him to witness the day, the politician and businessman urged the younger ones to have the fear of God and be dedicated in their service to Him.
Elder Ehimhen, who is also a former Edo State chairman of the deregistered political party, National Peoples Congress (NPC), expressed the belief that God would always provide for those who put their trust in Him, despite the current economic hardship in the country.
It was during the tenure of Elder Ehimhen as APGA Chairman in Edo State that his party produced Earl Osaro Onaiwu, a former Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party Governor’s Forum, as the governorship candidate of APGA. It was during that period that APGA was more popular and relevant in its history as a political party in Edo State.
Some friends and business colleagues of the former Edo APGA chairman described him as a humble, accommodating, and trustworthy fellow.
