Nigeria’s Flying Eagles has defeated Egypt in the third-place clash at the ongoing 2025 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The match played at the 30 June Air Defence Stadium, Cairo, on Sunday, ended 4-1 through penalty shoot-out in favor of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles.
The match had ended in a 1-1 draw before the penalty shoot-out.
Before the encounter, Nigeria was defeated 1-0 against South Africa in the semi-final encounter.
Egypt also lost to Morocco by the same scoreline in the other semi-final match.
