The police in Ogun State have raised concerns over a significant surge in reports of missing persons in the state.
The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, disclosed this in a statement in Abeokuta on Tuesday.
The spokesperson observed that the command had noticed an unprecedented rise in the number of missing persons across all age groups.
Odutola explained that only a small percentage of the missing individuals had been found, with many yet to return home.
The PPRO therefore urged residents to be vigilant and more security-conscious.
She gave an assurance that the Ogun State Police Command, as a proactive and community-oriented-force was committed to raising public awareness about the trend.
While encouraging the people to prioritize their safety, Odutola restated that the public could contact the police control room at 09164859299 and the Police Public Relations Department at 09159578888 for assistance.
