BUA Refinery and Petrochemical has dismissed reports that its $3.8 Refinery Project is 90% complete.
The firm made the clarification in a statement on Saturday, amid reports that the 200,000-barrel-per-day refinery is 90 percent completed
While describing the report as misleading, the company however announced that it is on track to complete the $3.8 billion plant in Akwa Ibom.
It assured that it is on track to meet its delivery timelines in collaboration with partners.
The clarification by BUA Refinery and Petrochemical is coming barely one year after the Dangote Refinery kicked off the production of petroleum products.
In recent time, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, announced commencement of operations by the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries.
